A smooth transition from ship-to-shore GCT Bayonne’s 2,700 foot (823 meter) berth and 50 foot (15.2 meter) draft is supported by 8 post-Panamax ship-to-shore cranes, 20 semi-automated RMGs, and 17 manned RTGs. The landside RMG container stacks are uniquely positioned on an angle to facilitate easier approaches and departures for truckers. While the RMGs are semi-automated, all transactions are guided and monitored remotely by ILA-skilled operators. A streamlined gate process Getting in and out of GCT Bayonne is fast, easy, and above all, safe. Each gate is outfitted with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, RFID, and remote image inspections.
